The Universe is Listening

THEN
NOW
It was quite a decision to quit a corporate job at a well-known MNC to take up teaching. This was a pivotal moment in my life, one that required immense courage and conviction. Teaching had been one of my childhood dreams, a calling that I had always felt drawn to, but the stability and prestige of a corporate career had initially swayed me in a different direction.
When I took up teaching, it was just a switch in the profession, but now I understand that it is so much more than the profession. As I stepped into teaching, I quickly realized that teaching was not merely a job, but a profound responsibility. I was not just imparting knowledge; I am shaping the lives of young individuals, helping them grow into competent, compassionate, and confident members of society.
I enjoy life in little moments, and these joyful moments are when I see kids being competent for life. The spark in a student’s eyes when they grasp a new concept, the pride in their voice as they share their accomplishments, and the bonds of trust and respect that develop between us – these are the moments that make every challenge worthwhile. I’ve come to understand that I am not just a teacher, but a therapist, a well-wisher, a cheerleader, a mentor, and a motivational speaker, all rolled into one.
It wasn’t easy to convince my parents, but frankly, I never tried harder because I have always done what I wanted to do or maybe I have always received what I always wished for. The decision to leave the corporate world and pursue teaching was met with some scepticism from my family, but I knew in my heart that this was the right path for me. I had always been driven by a strong sense of purpose and a desire to make a meaningful impact, and teaching allowed me to fulfil that calling.
I believe the universe is always listening. As I look back on my journey, I realize that the universe has a way of aligning our dreams and passions with the opportunities that come our way. By following my heart and trusting in the power of my convictions, I have been able to discover the true joy and fulfilment that comes from being a teacher.
