Sunshine Worldwide School

My Journey of Growth and Discovery

I’m a fun-loving person who finds joy in the little things—whether it’s a shared laugh, a small accomplishment, or a moment of peace. This outlook keeps me positive and engaged, both in my personal life and as an educator, where I feel incredibly fortunate to share my days with curious, energetic children. Their joy and enthusiasm make my work deeply fulfilling, and each day I am grateful to be part of their learning journey.
My path to becoming an educator was shaped by moments of both challenge and discovery. One of the earliest turning points came when I was in grade 5. I decided to participate in a running race, despite not being very athletic. I ended up being the last to cross the finish line and even fell, which led to laughter from classmates and teachers. It was an embarrassing experience that made me shy away from sports. Instead, I turned to more comfortable activities, like chess, and found solace in those.
The one extracurricular I continued was dance, participating in my school’s annual day performances. Dance became a confidence booster, showing me I had a talent in this area. Later, in higher secondary school, I saw it as a new chapter—a chance to explore my capabilities. I began participating in various activities not to win, but to learn more about myself. Thanks to supportive educators, I discovered strengths in painting, crafting, dance, drama, and scriptwriting. This period of exploration helped me understand that everyone has unique strengths and that we should focus on our talents rather than our limitations.
These skills became essential as I moved on to college, where I grew further through cultural activities. I knew I wanted a career where I could apply my creativity, and I found the perfect match when I interviewed at Sunshine Worldwide School. I was captivated by the school’s focus on holistic development. As I flipped through the school’s annual magazine, I saw pages filled with the same types of cultural activities that had defined my journey. My excitement grew, especially when the interview focused not on grades, but on my passions.
Since joining Sunshine Worldwide School six years ago, I’ve experienced remarkable personal growth. Initially, I was intimidated by technology and hesitant to use gadgets in teaching. However, with the school’s support and training, I transformed my relationship with technology. I went from fearing gadgets to confidently using them as teaching tools, and I now feel empowered to guide others. Sunshine Worldwide School has not only nurtured my professional skills but has also encouraged my personal development, reflecting its commitment to the growth of both students and educators.
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow in this supportive environment. The journey from that awkward moment in grade 5 to where I am today has taught me the importance of resilience, self-discovery, and embracing each person’s unique path. Sunshine Worldwide School has given me the space to explore, learn, and thrive, and I look forward to continuing this journey of growth.
